Power path management IC NCP3065It is a constant-current switching regulator up to 1.5A capable of providing stable current output over an input voltage range from 3.0V to 40V. This feature makes the NCP3065 ideal for a variety of application scenarios that require a stable current supply, such as automotive lighting and high-power LED drivers.


The device has a wide input voltage range from 3.0V to 40V, which means it can be used with a variety of power supply types, including 12Vac or 12Vdc power supplies typically used for lighting applications, as well as unregulated power supplies such as lead-acid batteries. This flexibility allows the NCP3065 to adapt to different power supply environments, increasing its range of applications.


The NCP3065 can be configured as buck (Buck), boost (Boost) or SEPIC topologies to meet different circuit requirements. Buck mode is used to reduce the input voltage to the desired output voltage, Boost mode is used to increase the input voltage to a higher output voltage, while SEPIC topology combines the features of Buck and Boost to provide more flexible voltage conversion options.


Cycle-by-Cycle Current Limit
The device features cycle-by-cycle current limiting to protect circuits from short-circuit and overload damage. When the output current exceeds the preset limit, the NCP3065 will automatically shut down the output to prevent circuit damage.
